Philip Dennis Brennan

Philip Dennis Brennan, 74, passed peacefully on July 4, 2021, at his home following a long illness. 

Phil was born in Danville, PA on July 25, 1946, to the late Philip and Loretta Pappert Brennan and grew up in Voorhees, NJ. A graduate of Camden Catholic High School, he went on to earn a degree from St. Joseph’s University. He enjoyed a 36-year career as a Math Teacher at the Medford Middle School in Medford, NJ and lived in Maple Shade, NJ and Marlton, NJ.

A loving husband and grandfather, he retired to Palmer Township, PA, where he was a Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Parish member. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golf, travel, and sports. Most especially, Phil was a loyal fan of all his grandchildren‘s lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, ice hockey, baseball, fencing, cross country, and track teams. He was also an avid fan of Notre Dame Football, St. Joseph University Basketball, and the New York Yankees.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dolores Gillan Brennan; his son, Philip and wife Jennifer, of Califon, NJ; his daughter, Maureen Brennan Dudeck and husband David, of Bethlehem Township, PA; his six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madden, and Caden Dudeck and Kerrigan, Quinlan, and Rylan Brennan. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Brennan of Somerdale, NJ.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening, July 13, 2021, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA 18045.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA. Inurnment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Philip may be made to Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA or the Allentown Rescue Mission, 355 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18101 or to the charity of your choice.
