Nancy R. Bevilacqua

Nancy R. Bevilacqua, of Alpha, NJ,  passed away on Thursday April 9, 2020 at the Warren Haven Nursing Facility in Oxford, NJ.

Born June 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Piergallini) and Abramo DeBerardinis of Martins Creek, Pa. Her husband Gildo passed away in 1998.

Nancy graduated from Easton High School in 1945 and was a graduate of the Easton Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Easton Hospital, mostly in the emergency department and then for the private practice of the late Dr. Edward Spoll for more than 15 years until her retirement. Nancy loved to cook and bake for family gatherings- she was especially proud of her apple pie.  She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church of Alpha and sang in the church choir for many years.  She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Miers and her husband David of Alpha, granddaughter Brianne, grandson Zachary and his wife Melanie, and two great-grandsons Henry and Elijah.  Her grandchildren and great grand-sons brought her so much joy. She is also survived by her sister Dolores Budihas of Martins Creek and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Eugene DeBerardinis.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Warren Haven for their dedication and care and the residents of the second floor who had become a second family to her.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private burial will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, Alpha.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary Church, 530 5th Ave. Alpha, NJ 08865 or Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, PO Box 215 / 360 Prospect St, Phillipsburg, New Jersey 08865.
