Minnie J. Trapani

Mrs. Minnie J. Trapani, of 120 North Third Street, Easton, PA, passed on to her eternal reward at home, peacefully, on February 15, 2020. She was 101 years old. She received congratulatory greetings from the President of the United States, for reaching her 100th birthday.

Minnie was born on January 17, 1919, to Vincent and Lena DeMasi of Franklin Township, NJ.

She was an Easton resident for over 70 years. After raising her family, she was employed as a seamstress and also owned and managed the Third Street Apartments. Minnie was an avid mall walker at the Palmer Park Mall for many years, always looking forward to her walk with fellow mall walker and friend, Betty, she always stressed the importance of exercise. She was also admired and praised for her excellent cooking skills and her green thumb. Beautiful geraniums, from Piazza’s Market, were planted every spring in her front window box and yard.

Minnie’s greatest joy, however, was cooking for and spending time with her grandsons. She often imparted life lessons to this younger generation. Homemade food being paramount in Italian families, noodles, made by hand with the large rolling pin and board, were one of her many favorite dishes. The seasonal canning of jars of fruits and vegetables was also a welcomed endeavor done with other family members.

Nani Minnie will always be cherished and remembered for her hard working ethic, strong devotion to her family and her ability to inspire and counsel others with her sharp insightful wisdom and humility, also for her devoted prayer life.

The family was very grateful for the excellent loving care given by her caregivers over the past six years, very special ladies.
