Michael Robert Chipaloski

Born on July 8, 1943, in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late William and Helen Kanachey Chipaloski.

Michael was employed as a patent attorney with Kodak, Scott Paper Co., and BASF Corp., from where he retired. He was a graduate of St. Philip & St. James Parochial High School, St. Vincent College with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry, and received his juris doctorate from The Catholic University of America.

Chip's love and study of meteorology made him the unparalleled weather forecaster for family and friends. He had a passion for the stock market and enjoyed reading, fishing, music, rooting for Philadelphia sports teams and holding family clam bakes. He and his wife did extensive traveling, but spending time with his family was his greatest joy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joan Lukachek Chipaloski; his beautiful daughters, Karen Martin and husband, Jim; Tracey Glad; Denise Monroe and husband, David; Maureen Frinzi and husband, Scott; Michelle Chipaloski and companion, Brian; also 11 adoring grandchildren, Braden, Zane, Vayda, Luca, Jared, Rece, Dante, Arden, Bram, Marco and Farrin, and his brother ,Anthony Chipaloski.

Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 11, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Greenwich Twp., NJ.
