Mark S. Lutz

Mark S. Lutz, 72, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on June 15, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

Born on May 20, 1950 in Easton, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Arlene Rinehart Lutz.

Mark was the Owner-Operator of Mark's Electric, Easton, Pa. for 43 years. He was a school bus driver for the Phillipsburg School District, and was a Coach Bus driver. Mark also drove the Phillipsburg Trolley for Old Towne Festival and many other town events. He was a life member and former President and Chief Driver for the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad. Mark was a Phillipsburg Town Councilman, serving as Vice –President years ago. He was a big brother with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley. Mark was a percussionist and singer and had his own band called, Mark IV. He and his wife Patty celebrated 40 years of marriage on January 16, 2022. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Stanley Hughes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patricia Hughes-Lutz, his mother-in-law, Phyllis Hughes, his siblings, John Lutz and his wife Cathy of Fl., Cathie Kennedy of Saylorsburg, Pa., James Lutz and his partner, Tom Wesley of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Paul Lutz and his wife Charlene, of Easton, Pa., Timothy Lutz and his wife Jeane of Adna, Washington and Joanne Lutz- Barry and her husband Art of Fl. He is also survived by a niece and 2 nephews, along with his beloved dog, Li Ming and all the cats.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 22, 2022 from 7PM to 9PM at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ and the following day, Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 500 Hillcrest Ave. Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Service will follow at 11AM. Interment will take place in Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home.Â
