Mark L. Hammerstone

Mark L. Hammerstone, 93, of Palmer Twp., Pa., passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023 at Arden Courts of Old Orchard.

Born on July 6, 1929 in Easton, Pa., he was the son of the late Leo P. and Margaret B. Mitchell Hammerstone.

Mark was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was an accountant with Cherry-Weber Consulting Engineers, and earlier in his career he worked for H.P. Kinsey.

Mark was a member of the Palmer Moravian Church. He graduated from Easton Catholic High School Class of 1947 and then graduated from Lafayette College in 1958. Mark enjoyed playing the piano, attending concerts and plays, sailing, visiting museums and traveling with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ruth C. Gallagher.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Sember Hammerstone, his children, Amy Gollub and her husband George of Easton, Pa., and Stephen Hammerstone and his wife Barbara of Saugerties, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Twp., Pa., followed by a service at 11. Interment will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mark to the Palmer Moravian Church, 2901 John St., Easton, Pa. 18045.
