Lucielle M. Voight

Lucielle M. (Meek) Voight, 90, longtime resident of Palmer Township, passed away on February 7, joining her husband Bill in heaven on their 72nd wedding anniversary. She will be remembered for her love of God, family, community, animals, music and gardening. Lucielle was born on May 20, 1929 to Charles and Isabel Meek in Shamokin, Northumberland County. She attended the former Mizpah Grove Camp Meeting in East Allentown, where she met Bill. They married in 1948. Lucielle worked as a clerk at the former Hess's department store and the Palmer Township Tax Office. An accomplished accordion player and organist, Lucielle shared her talents at various churches and for family entertainment. Around her family farm, she enjoyed hosting family dinners, crafting, planting beautiful gardens and caring for animals. She supported Compassion International and several animal charities, and Meals on Wheels as a volunteer. She attended Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church, Bethlehem. Survivors include her three children: Ann Blake, Sandra Fogel, and William Voight III and wife Marjorie; six grandchildren: Nicole, Tamara, Joshua, Alison, Andrea, and Billy; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marjorie Fehnel, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband William, parents, brother Charles, sons-in-law John and Rodney, beloved dog Cody, and a grandson. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020, preceded by a calling hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 Wm. Penn Hwy., Palmer Twp., Pa. Interment will follow at the Northampton Memorial Shrine.
