Linda Lee Lance Sarwatka

Linda Lee Lance Sarwatka, cherished mother and grandmother, entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2020, at the age of 73.

Linda was born on January 7, 1947, in Phillpsburg, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Paul Lance and June E. Pfieiffer Lance. Linda graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic High School and Warren County Community College.

Raised in Washington, NJ, Linda was a member of the St. Joseph's sodality, children and adult chorus, was a girl scout and taught CCD classes. Linda moved to Holland Township in 1994 and married Walter Sarwatka on November 22, 1997. They celebrated 22 years of marriage. Linda was employed by Shoprite of Greenwich, NJ and was in charge of their playhouse childcare center. She retired from there in February of 2005. Linda enjoyed cooking, traveling, collecting angels, spending time with friends and her beloved pets Puffy and Angel.

She is survived by her daughter, Holley Slutter and her husband Scott, step daughter, Dr. Cornellia Lee and stepson Frank Sarwatka and his wife Suzanne, and her cherished grandchildren, Nadia and Jayden Quach, Julia Lee and Owen Sarwatka. Surviving siblings are her sister Gail Holden and her husband Warren, her brother, Paul J. Lance, her brother, John R. Lance and wife Tammy, her step sister, Janet Bostrom and husband Carl and her step brother, Robert Lance and wife Arlene. Along with her husband, Walter and her parents, Linda was predeceased by her sister, Bonnie Gould and her husband Tom.

A Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 6 to 8 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Avenue, Alpha, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial is to be held the following day, Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 10 AM at St. Mary Church, 830 5th Avenue, Alpha, NJ. The entombment will occur immediately after the Mass at the St. Mary Mausoleum, Alpha, NJ.

Linda wished to express special love and many thanks to her dearest friend Betsy Dailey for all the fun times they had together. The love and support got her through all the good times and the bad. She will be in her heart always.
