Lillian E. Marczi

Lillian E. Marczi, 103, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2022.

Lillian was born in Alpha, NJ, on May 16, 1919, to her late parents, Joseph F. Kiss, Sr. and Mary (Csaszer) Kiss. She was raised in West Easton, PA and graduated from Easton High School in 1937. Lillian then married the love of her life, Julius Marczi, in 1947 and was married for 45 years until his death in March of 1993.

Lillian is survived by her nephew, Steven Kiss, of Hermitage, TN, her cousin, Lillian Mutz, of Phillipsburg, NJ, her Godchild, Lisa Moyer, of Wind Gap, PA, her cousin, Matilda Cogan, of Phillipsburg, NJ, her wonderful neighbors of Phillipsburg, NJ and her many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph F. Kiss, Jr. and his wife, Vesta, and her brothers in law and sisters in law.

Lillian was employed at the Dixie Cup Company, in Easton, PA, for 17 years, served on the Warren County Election Board, volunteered at Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Adoration Society, Phillipsburg Senior Center and AARP. She was also a member of the Over 50s Club and was an active member of St. Philip and St. James Church for over 68 years.

Lillian was a very charitable and giving person who was well known for her hobbies of crocheting, knitting, doing cross word puzzles and reading Bingo at the Senior Center.

A Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 8:30 to 9:45 AM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ, with a Mass of Christian Burial set for 10:30 AM at St. Philip and St. James Church, 430 South Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. The entombment will then be held at the Holy Apostles Mausoleum, Greenwich Twp., NJ, where Lillian will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Julius.
