Born on March 12, 1940 in Newton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Jane Cox Huff.
She was employed by Jefferson Smurfit in Frenchtown, NJ, as a dye cutter operator. Lila was a member of the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad from 1983 to 1988. She was of the Methodist Faith.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob T. Lewis, Jr. and her children; Cindy Herrera and her husband Steve; Sherry Back, and her husband Tim; and Jacob T Lewis III.. She is also survived by her siblings, Clayton Huff and wife Edie; Dave Huff and wife Lisa; Sally Brong and husband Al; Mary Seip and husband Charley; Daniel Huff and wife Kathy; and Michael Huff and wife Enza. Also surviving are six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother, Thomas Huff.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, beginning at 1 pm. Viewing hours will be held from 10 am until the time of the service. Interment will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Phillipsburg, NJ.
