Klara E. Tarsi

Klara E. Tarsi, 82, of Forks Township, PA, and formerly of Alpha, NJ, went Home to be with Our Lord, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Born on May 18, 1940, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cornelia (Horvath) Frankenfield.

Klara held many jobs throughout her life, she was the first secretary at St. Mary’s Church, she spent time working for Union Twp., NJ, and retired from Mansfield Twp., NJ, where she worked as the Municipal Treasurer, she worked in the Walmart Accounting Office for 13 years and spent 40 years involved in Alpha, NJ, politics, wherein she worked as the tax collector, town clerk and CFO. Klara was a member of St. Mary's Church Choir, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society, was instrumental in starting the St. Mary's Friendly Visitor's Group, was a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Red Hat Society. Klara also loved dance and crafts, enjoying painting and making ceramics.

Klara is survived by her husband, Julius Tarsi, her children, Maria E. King and her husband, Charles and Raymond J. Tarsi and his wife Bonnie, her grandchildren; Melissa King, Andrew King and his wife, Alicia and Matthew King, her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jonathan Andrew King, her siblings; Arlington “Art” Frankenfield and his wife, Linda, Thomas Frankenfield and his wife, Diane, David Frankenfield, Agnes Bucko and Monica Williams and her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Klara was predeceased by her daughter, Virginia A. Tarsi and her grandson, Jonathan David King.

A Viewing is scheduled for Monday, June 20, 2022, from 5 to 8 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 Second Avenue, Alpha, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 AM the following day, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at St. Mary’s Church, 830 5th Ave, Alpha, NJ, with the interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
