Julia Kuzmack (Johnson) Chando

Julia Kuzmack (Johnson) Chando, 95, of Oxford, Pa., formerly of Easton, Pa., and Hackettstown, NJ. passed away on April 13, 2021 at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford, Pa.

Born on January 7, 1926 in Easton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Kuca Kuzmack.

Julia worked at Chipman Knitting Mills as an Administrative Assistant. She was the Owner-Operator along with her first husband Richard of Johnson's Beverage Store in Hackettstown, NJ for many years. She was a graduate of Easton High School.

Julia was a member of the Chipman W.O.W.'s, which was Women Ordinance Workers Baseball and Basketball teams during World War II. She was an active member of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church, Bethlehem, Pa. where she enjoyed making many pierogis for the church. Julia loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, and her siblings, Mary Lawson, Katherine Staruch, Helen Csicsak, Margaret Malinowski, Stephen Kuzmack, Michael Kuzmack and George Kuzmack, she was aslo predeceased by her first husband, Richard Johnson in 1977 and her second husband William Chando in 1992, along with her son-in-law, Larry Vass.

Julia is survived by her loving daughters, Jacqueline (Johnson) Parker and her husband, William of West Grove, Pa., and Cynthia (Johnson) Vass of Mt. Bethel, Pa., she is also survived by her step-daughters, Charlene Chando, Christine Erk and her husband Daniel, Caryl Ann Almodovar and her husband Juan, and Cheryl Komline, and her husband Christopher. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery of Hackettstown.
