Joyce M. Olivi

Joyce M. Olivi, 91, of Alpha, NJ, passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 19, 2021.

Born on July 14, 1930, in Alpha, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Ersilia (Bartolini) Brunetti. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Olivi, in 1985.

Joyce spent twenty years working as a Caregiver at the Hunterdon Developmental Center and due to her son, Gary Olivi’s medical struggles she was the first to introduce the now widely used Dialysis Machine to the Lehigh Valley. She always went out of her way to help those that needed it and around her the desire to engage in hard work seemed to be contagious. Joyce absolutely loved her family and spent many hours with them. Dancing was her favorite pastime especially when King Henry was at the venue.  She also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with the slot machines at the Wind Creek Casino.

Joyce is survived by her children; Michael Olivi and his wife, Virginia, of Nazareth, PA, Glen Olivi and his wife, Penny, of Lewes, DE, and Maria Poloni and her husband, David, of Nazareth, PA, her son in law, Martin Corley, her seven grandchildren, her eight great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her son, Gary Olivi,  in 1974, her daughter, Karen Corley, in 2019, and her brothers; Americo, Gus, Rello and Jeffrey Brunetti and her sisters, Mafalda Larrachio and Yolanda Brunetti.

A Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 Second Ave, Alpha, NJ, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM, at St. Mary’s Church, 830 5th Ave, Alpha, NJ. The interment will then be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Alpha, NJ.
