Joseph James Azzalina, 92, of Easton, Pa., passed away on October 9, 2021 at New Eastwood Nursing Center.
Joe was born on September 20, 1929 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Biaggio and Rose Azzalina.
He was a teacher in the Phillipsburg School District for 36 years. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School Class of 1947, Lafayette College with a BA in International Affairs in 1957 and graduated from Lehigh University with a MA in Education Administration in 1961.
Joe was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Easton, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan C. Amenta Azzalina, his sisters, Grace E. Bonora and Sarah Chando.
Joe is survived by his son, Jeffrey David Azzalina and his wife Melissa, of Honolulu, Hawaii and his beloved granddaughter, Amanda Mae Azzalina of Honolulu, Hawaii.
There will be no services. The Finegan Funeral Home, Palmer Twp., Pa. is handling his arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
