Born on March 21, 1954, in Easton, PA, he was the son of James A Salvero, who passed away in 2007, and Stefana Turdo Salvero.
Joseph was incredibly proud of having earned the rank of Eagle Scout and the time he spent as a counselor at Camp Pahaquarra. After graduating from high-school he joined the United States Army, with whom he served as a motor vehicle operator for the 1st Battalion, 65th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, from 1972 to 1975. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening and cooking, but whom above all else, loved his grandchildren.
Along with his mother, Joseph is survived by his daughters; Melody Grayson and her husband Jared and Andrea Brown and her husband Michael, his wife, Patricia Carnellie, his grandchildren; Chelsea and Taylor Grayson and Lucas and Alexander Brown, and his step-sons, John and Jacob Banghart. As well as his father, Joseph was predeceased by many aunts and uncles.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, with a Memorial Service to directly follow.
