Joseph D. Russo, Jr.

Joseph D. Russo, Jr., 76, of Easton, Pa., passed away peacefully on February 4, 2023 at his home.

Born on June 25, 1946 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph D., Sr. and Ethel Huff Russo.

Joseph was a Veteran in the United States Marine Corp. serving during the Vietnam War. He was a mechanic at the former Dixie, Georgia Pacific for 38 years. Joseph loved going to concerts, was a Blues fan and loved music in general.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandson, Dominic. He went to Tic Toc diner every morning to socialize with his friends. He enjoyed Atlantic City, was an avid motorcycle rider, loved to read and do crossword puzzles. He was a big sports guy, Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and the LSU Tigers were his favorites. He also enjoyed going to Seratoga, NY to watch horse racing.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Susan, who passed away in 2012, his son, Joseph D. Russo, III and his brother, Jeffrey Russo.

He is survived by his loving children, Jenalyn Russo and her husband Troy Unger, of Easton, Pa., Jevin Russo and his fiance Loren of Forks Twp., Pa., hid daughter-in-law, Juliane Benson of Greensburg, Pa., along with his siblings, Regina Wilson and her husband Paul of Garner, NC, Cecelia Coleman and her husband Barry of Garner, NC, and John Russo and his wife Amy of Asbury, NJ, along with his sister-in-law, Tina Russo of Bath, Pa. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Dominic Joseph Russo and Mackenzie Russo.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a service at 11 A.M. Military Honors, will conclude the services at the funeral home.
