John R. Swick

John R. Swick, 76, of Easton, Pa., passed away with his family by his side, on September 18, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem, Pa.

Born on July 12, 1945, in Easton, Pa., he was the son of the late Russell V. and Anna T. Lansche Swick.

John graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1963 and then served in the US Navy.  He was employed with Bell Telephone and the former Sammons Communications. John was a member at various social clubs throughout the Easton-Phillipsburg area.

He is survived by his sons, Henry Swick and partner Maggie of Phillipsburg, NJ;  Michael Swick and wife Janice of Phillipsburg, NJ;  and Russell Swick and wife Gayle of Palmer Twp., Pa. Surviving sisters are Dawn Parenti and husband Victor of Stockertown, Pa., and Marva Schuler and husband Stan of Palmer Twp., Pa. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Beverly Swick of Easton, Pa. John was predeceased by his wife Karen in 1985, and his brother George Swick and his sister Gail Williams. John’s family would like to express their gratitude to St. Luke’s Hospice House for all that they do.

Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday September 21, 2021 from 6 to 8pm at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Twp., Pa. Services will be held on Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Palmer Twp., Pa.
