John J. Fencz

John J. Fencz, 72, of Alpha, NJ, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Born December 30, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Scheanou) Fencz.

For many decades John owned and operated Charlies Pool Room in Alpha, NJ. He was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, in Finesville, NJ. John was an avid L.A. Dodgers fan and pool player.

John is survived by his sister, Dorothy Williams, of Bartonsville, PA, his nieces; Sherri Evans and her husband, Alan and Michelle Graffin and her husband, Richard, with whom he lived, his great nieces and nephews; Jeff Thomas, Amber Jacobson and her husband, Brian, Justin Graffin and his wife, Brenna and Courtney Graffin and her significant other, Eric Casal and his great great nieces and nephews; Sierra, Justin, Jr., Jeremey and Skylar Graffin and Charlie Matos. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Joe and his nephew, Daniel Williams.

A Calling Hour is scheduled for Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 5 to 6 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 Second Avenue, Alpha, NJ, with a Memorial Service to directly follow.
