Born on November 28, 1942, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Robert J. Scott, Sr. and Rosemary Kaiser Scott.
John served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1966 and later graduated from Monmouth College. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, proudly boasted of his attendance at, New York Yankee’s pitcher, Don Larsen’s perfect game, and absolutely loved playing golf, having played some of the world’s top courses, including; the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and The Links at Spanish Bay.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Scott, his sons; John Scott and his wife Michelle, Glen Scott and his wife Paolo and Scott Sharkey, his grandchildren; Evan and Emma Sharkey and Gabriel, Sarah and James Scott, his siblings; Roberta Melchione, Rosemary Tedesco and Robert J. Scott, Jr., and his beloved cat, Mia.
Services are being held privately, with the arrangements being handled by the Finegan Funeral Home.
