Joan C. Ulmer
Born April 5, 1932 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of Marguerite Kohl Walsh and Thomas P. Walsh.
Joan attended Easton High School. She was a waitress and worked at Peke Inn, and Golden Ox, and a hostess at Young Republican Club, and Widow Brown’s prior to her retirement. Joan enjoyed playing Bingo and taking trips to Atlantic City. She will be remembered for her love of dancing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Autumn McClain of Phillipsburg, NJ, Raymond (Susan) Ulmer of Williams Township, PA, Shawn (Audrey) Ulmer of Alpha, NJ, and Ross (Kimberley) Ulmer of Palmer Township, PA. Also her grandchildren Craig (Janine) Ulmer of Nazareth, PA, Jennifer (Ryan) Barry of Pen Argyl, PA, Shawna (Justin) Nazzrie of Brunswick, GA, Christopher (Jennifer) McClain of Berlin, PA, Amber Joan (Zachary) Averill of Camp Pendleton, CA, Dara (Joshua) Messier of Dahlgren, VA, Chad (Brianna Reed) Ulmer of Freemansburg, PA, Eric Ulmer of Williams Township, PA, Shawn Ulmer Jr of Baltimore, MD, Quinn Ulmer of Alpha, NJ, Bobby (Laura) Howell of Nazareth, PA, Cory (Autumn) Howell of Egypt, PA. Also her great-grandchildren Megan, Nadia, Jaxon, Jayden, Carter, Zaira, Isaac, Paislee, Reed, Jackson, Roman, Ellie, Amelia, and Greyson.
She was pre-deceased by her son Craig Ulmer, her sisters June Brunieo, Frances Caflin, Fran Mancino, and her twin Jean Schisler, and her great granddaughter Zoey.
Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 830 5th Ave., Alpha, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 08865.
