Jennie M. Castone

Jennie M. Castone, 100, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on December 29, 2021, at Renaissance Senior Living in Forks Township, PA.

Born April 17, 1921, in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Zamataro and Mary Frinzi Zamataro. She was also predeceased by her husband, the late Joseph Castone, who passed in 1989.

Jennie was an active member of AARP and was a life-long member of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg. As a sewing machine operator, she worked at various garment factories in the area.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Jean Flynn and husband John, of Phillipsburg. Grandchildren are John Flynn and wife Tracy and Jeffrey Flynn and wife Sharon. Great grandchildren are Dylan, Colin, and Aiden, step great grand are Lauren, Chez, and Josh, and step great – great are Andrew, Liam, and Gia. Jennie is also survived by a brother, James Zamataro, and sister, Joan Mariano. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by sisters; Grace Bevilacqua, Josie Regina, and Lucille Patriaca.

Funeral services and interment will be private. There are no calling hours. The Finegan Funeral Home in Phillipsburg is handling arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
