James J. Cappellano

Born February 2, 1937, in Easton, he was the son of the late Dominic Cappellano and Frances Versace Cappellano.

James served in the US Army and was employed as a certified diesel mechanic with McRoberts International in Easton and Conagra in Martins Creek. Along with his late brother Tom, he was the owner and operator of 25th Street Beer & Soda. A lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church he enjoyed everyone at cardiac rehabilitation at Easton Hospital as well as Easton Kiwanis functions, where his wife is an active member.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne M. Petrilak Cappellano, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 5th,   brother Anthony Cappellano and his wife Carol, of Palmer Township, PA, as well as sister Antoinette Walbert, of Phillipsburg, N.J. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cappellano was predeceased by brothers: Dominic, Lawrence, Steve, Joseph, John, and Thomas, and sisters: Theresa, Rose, Catherine, Josephine, Mary, Elizabeth, and Frances.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the Finegan Funeral Home at 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Township, PA, from 8:00am to 9:30am. Funeral services begin at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Sts. in Easton at 10:30am. The interment will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Williams Township, PA.
