Jacqueline W. Swick

She was born July 13, 1925, in Phillipsburg, NJ, to the late Herbert Judson Willever and Ella Marie Gary Willever.

She attended Firth School and graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1943 where she was the Karux yearbook editor. She graduated from Douglass College in 1947 with a B.S. in Mathematics. On December 5, 1947, she married the late Robert J. Swick. They enjoyed over 64 years of marriage together. She was an active member of the Class of '43 Reunion Committee of Phillipsburg High School. She taught at Lopatcong Elementary where she remained close with many of her students throughout the years.

She is survived by three children: Jacqueline S. Brown and her husband Thomas E. Brown, Palmer, PA; Robert J. Swick, Jr. and his wife Maureen A. Swick, Bethlehem Twp, PA; and Jeffrey L. Swick, Midland Park, NJ and his partner, Krystina Rankin, Ridgewood, NJ. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Andrew T. Brown and his wife Kara Brown, Aurora, CO; Matthew E. Brown, Palmer Twp, PA; Allison M. Swick, Parsippany, NJ; and Carson J. Swick, Bethlehem Twp, PA. She also is survived by her great granddaughter, Eloise Jacqueline Brown, Aurora, CO. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Swick in 2012, and her brother, Richard H. Willever, a school superintendent, of Pennington, NJ.
