Irene Hódosi Kish

Irene Hódosi Kish, 90, of Bethlehem Twp., PA, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospice House on November 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Irene was born in the village of Horvátzsidány, Hungary, on June 18, 1932.  She was the oldest of six children, and the daughter of the late John and Caroline Hódosi.

In 1956, during the midst of the Hungarian Revolution, she walked out of the war-torn nation with her husband, the late Joseph Kish, for a new life in America.  In America, she began as a seamstress, then managed the Dutchtown Bar, which she owned with her husband.  After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, tending to her beautiful garden, and simply being outside on a nice day.  Irene was happily married to Joe for 62 years.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Morgan and her husband, Ronald C., of Bethlehem Twp., along with her adoring grandchildren, Ronnie Morgan, of Randolph, NJ, and Lisa Jansen and her husband Thomas, of Somerset, NJ.

Services are private at the family's request.
