Helen E. Sheridan

Helen E. Sheridan, 86, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away on April 24, 2023, at the Brakeley Park Center in Lopatcong.

Born October 9, 1936, in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Francis Lennon and Helen Bentz Lennon. She was also predeceased by her former spouse, Richard Sheridan Sr., and daughter Kelly Ann Williams Byrd.

She was employed at the Journal of Commerce in Phillipsburg and was a long-time member of St. Philip & James Catholic Church, also in Phillipsburg.

Mrs. Sheridan is survived by her son, Richard Sheridan Jr. and wife Linda, grandchildren; Sasha Brown, Casey Faust, Katie Sheridan, and Kayla Johnson, as well as great grandchild; Raelyn, Lukas, Rylee, Rowan, and Ruby. Helen is also survived by brothers, Francis J. Lennon, Charles “Bud” Lennon, and sister, Margaret Corley.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church at 430 So. Main Street in Phillipsburg, NJ. The interment will be at St. Philip & St. James Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ. There are no calling hours. The Finegan Funeral Home in Phillipsburg is handling arrangements.
