George E. Bartholomew

George E. “Butch” Bartholomew, 71, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday June 18, 2022. He was born on October 20, 1950 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late William F. and Evelyn L. (Ludwig) Bartholomew. George graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1970 and went on to study at the Berklee College of Music. George was a veteran and served in the US Army for 4 years as a radio operator. He was a former employee at Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg, NJ and Martin Guitar in Nazareth, PA. He also taught guitar at Guitar Villa in Nazareth, PA. After retiring, he greatly enjoyed spending time with his children and their families, raising African cichlids, playing his guitars, going on fishing trips with his family, and car rides in the country. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Bonnie Bartholomew, who was his primary caretaker. He is also survived by his daughters Courtney Bartholomew and Kristin Beeh, stepdaughter Jennifer Stone, and sons Jacob Bartholomew and Timothy Bartholomew, as well as his brother Ron Bartholomew; his grandchildren Samuel Bartholomew, Jeremiah Bartholomew, Douglas Bartholomew, Nathaniel Bartholomew,Gabriel Bartholomew, Abigail Bartholomew, Brian Beeh, Grayson Bartholomew, Piper Bartholomew, Lucas Beeh. Step grandchildren Skyler Dorn, Ava Peters, Lily Peters, WaylonStone, and James Stone Jr. Great grandchildren Autumn Bartholomew and Bella Bartholomew He was predeceased by his 2 brothers William Bartholomew and Walter Bartholomew as well as stepson Thomas R. Peters Jr. Family and friends are invited to a visitation period from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Friday June 24, 2022, at Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg NJ.
