Fred E. Cook Sr.

Fred E. Cook Sr., 83, of Alpha, NJ passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in his home.

Born February 6, 1937, in Alpha, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Cook and Yolanda Strobel Cook.

Fred and his wife, the late Jane P. Maslonka Cook, were married August 2, 1957.

In his younger years he liked to hunt and fish, and was an avid “flea marketer” at the Saylorsburg flea market for over 40 years. Fred worked at the Round Valley Reservoir during its construction and was a member of Local #472 – Heavy Highway. He and his wife Jane also owned and operated Jane’s Ceramics in Alpha and Bloomsbury, NJ. He also loved to tinker in his garage, working on cars, and loved to work on his house.

Fred is survived by daughter Pamela A. Maier and husband Jarrett, son Fred E. Cook Jr. and wife Holly, grandson Fred E. “Bubba” Cook III, granddaughter Amber J. Duryea and husband Kyle, great grandson Fred E. “Bud” Cook IV, and great granddaughter Piper J. Duryea, his little nurse. He loved and cherished all of his grandchildren. Fred is also survived by his sister, Joyce Vine. He was predeceased by brothers Joseph and Bill and his beloved dog, Bella.
