Eugene N. Walter Sr.

Born in Phillipsburg on May 12, 1933, he was the son of the late Frank and Alice Beers Walter.

Eugene graduated from Phillipsburg High School, before serving in the US Army. He retired, after many years as an electrician, from Ingersoll-Rand, formerly in Phillipsburg. He had a lifetime passion for the game of golf, also enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Yvonne E. Thomas Walter; his children and step-children are Eugene Walter Jr. and wife Donna, Debra Bitzer, Patrick Williamson, Arthur Williamson and wife Deborah, Deborah Bogoly, Denise Snyder and husband Brian, Shelly Rogers, David Rogers and wife Michelle, Dawn Rick and husband John, Denny Staples and wife Billie Jean. He was predeceased by his siblings Roy, Herman, Alice, Hazel and Carol. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.

Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ.  Interment will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.cancer.org
