Eugene H. Woolley

Born on August 7, 1938 in Pen Argyl, Pa.,he was the son of the late George W. “Pete”, and Hazel Jones Woolley.

Gene was a veteran proudly serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Lopatcong Twp. Fire Police, board member of Lopatcong Pool, life member of the Liberty Hose and Citizen Hose, and a member of the Easton Quoit League. He was also a member of St. Phillip & St. James Catholic Church, serving as an usher. Gene was employed by Ralph and Sons Furniture in the 70’s & 80’s, and Lipkins Furniture during the 80’s & 90’s.

 He is survived by his wife Joanne M. Butto Woolley, his sons, Craig and wife Carmela and Thomas and his wife Janice. Grandchildren, Corinne wife of James Richards, Thomas C. Woolley, and Dominic L. Woolley. He is also survived by his sisters, Faye Jones, and Naomi Brown, and his beloved dog Maggie. He was proceeded in death by brother, George W. Woolley, Jr., and great granddaughter Julianna M. Richards.

 A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday August 20, 2018 at St. Phillip & St. James Church, 430 South Main St, Phillipsburg, N.J. beginning at 10:00 am.  Calling hour will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 am in the church. Inurnment of ashes will take place at Holy Apostles Mausoleum, Greenwich Twp., N.J. The Finegan Funeral Home, Palmer Twp., Pa.has been entrusted with the arrangements.

 In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Mr. Woolley’s name in care of the funeral home.
