Erma E. Nagy

Erma E. Nagy, 99, of Shimer Manor, Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice on October 22, 2019, with her daughter by her side.

Born on August 29, 1920, in Asbury, Bethlehem Township, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Marton Vargo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years Julius L. Nagy in 2012.

Erma was a graduate of Hampton High School, a hairdresser, an Elder in the United Presbyterian Church of Alpha, teacher, and superintendent for the church’s Sunday School. She was a member of Oak Hill Golf Club and an avid gardener.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Nagy of Pohatcong Township, NJ, her faithful dog Danby, as well as her nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and her parents, Erma was predeceased by her brother, James Vargo.

Services have been held privately, through the care of the Finegan Funeral Home.
