Born July 7, 1935, in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Matthew Zengulis and Anna Sleinis Zengulis. He was also predeceased by his wife, the late Prudence I. Kennedy Zengulis, who passed in 2002.
Dr. Zengulis was a graduate of Villanova University, the Temple Dental School, and attained the rank of captain in the United States Army following school. He was a self-employed dentist in Phillipsburg for many years, was a member of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, was an avid Villanova basketball fan, and lived to see his Philadelphia Eagles win a Super Bowl.
He is survived by his children: Michael R. Zengulis and wife Katherin Deemer, of Easton, PA, Mary Anne Sheridan and husband James, of Lopatcong Township, N.J., Mark Zengulis and wife Sherry, of Bath, PA, Kathleen Cruts and husband Scott, of Mansfield Township, N.J., Matthew Zengulis of Mount Laurel, N.J., David Zengulis of Batavia, N.Y., and Patricia Harper and husband Scott, of Lopatcong Township, N.J. Dr. Zengulis is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 10:00am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 So. Main Street in Phillipsburg, N.J. There are no calling hours and the interment will be private.
