Dorothy L. Zeigafuse

Dorothy L. Zeigafuse, 73, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on May 1, 2020 in St. Luke’s Warren Hospital. Born in Easton, PA on June 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy B. Witner and Dorothy E. (Meyers) Witner.

Dorothy was a homemaker married to Frank L. Zeigafuse Sr. for 51 years, who passed away on September 19, 2017. She lived a life centered around caring for children and others, making holiday’s special, and had a talent for crafting.  She is loved and will be missed by many. 

Surviving are her children Frank L. Zeigafuse, Jr. and wife Amy;  Laura M. Nickel and husband John; Michael E. Zeigafuse; Michelle Zeigafuse and husband Tom; Matthew A. Zeigafuse; Nidia Capasso and husband James; and Cathy VanDoren and husband Ron.

Dorothy also cared for many foster children.  Her sister is Wallis Witner of Phillipsburg.

Dorothy’s grandchildren are Shanice, Kara, Tyler, Christian, Rachel, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Shane. She also has five foster grandchildren, and 11 foster great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are being held privately due to COVID-19 restrictions and have been entrusted to the Finegan Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Harmony Twp.
