Donald L. Ferguson

Born July 27, 1943, in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late Donald and Marie (Salgado) Ferguson.

He retired in 2002 from DeCamp Bus Lines in Montclair, NJ, after a long career as a bus driver.  Donald was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union, and in recent years enjoyed his position as a poll worker for Warren County, N.J.  He was an avid Mets fan who liked saltwater fishing, and most of all, loved spending time with his family.  

Mr. Ferguson is survived by his wife, Bernice J. (Malinowski) Ferguson, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 20, 2019, and daughters: Donna Tostevin and husband Christopher, of Union Township, N.J. and Marie Ferguson-Russo and husband Anthony, of Green Brook, N.J. His grandchildren are: Heather and Danielle Tostevin and Anthony, Andrew, Alexander, and Veronica Russo. Additionally, Mr. Ferguson is survived by cousins Barbara Lubrani and Gary Wyckoff and wife Mary.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, from 4 – 7 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, N.J. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 11:00 am. The interment will be private.
