Daniel Adrian Wayne “Bubby” Eckhardt, Jr.

Daniel Adrian Wayne “Bubby” Eckhardt, Jr., 74, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away at his home while surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Born on August 26, 1946, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Daniel and Eleanor (Lawler) Eckhardt.

Daniel was a graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic High School’s Class of 1965 and served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, he was awarded the Purple Heart for the wounds he sustained while serving in combat in Vietnam. He was known for his fun loving attitude and his love of oldies music, having a jukebox in his home and extensive collections of both arcade games and vinyl records. Daniel also spent thirteen years putting his love of music to use as the Good Times DJ.

He is survived by his daughters, Kim Longacre and her husband Tim and Christa Zechman, his grandchildren; Collin, Carly, Alyssa, Keith, Sierra, and Arianna, his great-grandchildren, Myleigh and Nicholas and his sister, Eleanor “Skip” Taylor and her husband Jim.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2020, from 5 to 8 PM, at Daniel’s home. The Finegan Funeral Home has been tasked with handling the arrangements.
