Cynthia Joan Koch

Cynthia Joan Koch, 68, of Easton, PA, passed away suddenly at her home, on Monday, January 16, 2023.

Cindy was born on June 26, 1954, in Easton, PA, to the late Paul Thomas Pursell, Sr., and Joan Mary (Kugler) Pursell. She grew up in Harmony Township, NJ and graduated from Belvidere High School, in 1973.

Cindy previously worked at the Palmer Elementary School, in food services. It wasn’t work for her though, it allowed her to share her love of caring for children, especially those with special needs. Cindy loved her children and grandsons beyond words and couldn’t have been prouder of the people they became. Family was everything to Cindy and she lived her life giving them all she had to give. She volunteered at all school and sports functions and when she couldn’t she was there for support.

Cindy was an avid reader who enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, sudoku and loved loud music. Other than her family, her dog, Tugger and her lizard (bug), Izzy were a joy in her life.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Jay S. Koch, of Easton, PA, her children; Frank S. Graziano III and his wife, Kelly, Aaron T. Koch and Madison J. Koch, all of Easton, PA, her grandsons; James, Josiah and Jase, her siblings; Paul Pursell, and his husband, Alan King, Robyn Thorpe and Charles Pursell and his wife, Lynn, her nieces and nephews; Tori, Ashley, Kady and CJ and her many great nieces and nephews.

A Viewing is scheduled for Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ, from 10 AM to 12 PM, with a Funeral Service to immediately follow. The interment will then be at Calvary Cemetery, Harmony Township, NJ.

Donations may be made, in Cynthia’s name, to Autism Speaks, via autismspeaks.org/donate.
