Concetta B. "Connie" Wills

Concetta B. “Connie” Wills, 82, of Palmer Township, PA entered her eternal rest on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital campus.  Connie and her loving husband, Christopher, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2022.

Born on January 20, 1940 in Easton, PA, Connie was the proud daughter of late Angelina Lazzara Burruano.  Connie was a graduate of Easton Catholic High School and was an active member of their alumni association.  After graduation, she entered and graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing in Philadelphia receiving the equivalent of her Bachelor’s degree and Registered Nursing certification.  For many years, Connie worked caring for others in their time of illness while working at Warren and Easton Hospitals, various private physicians offices and ending her nursing career serving the elderly populations at both the Northampton and Lehigh County homes for the aging.  Her medical knowledge was extensive and many in the family and her friends relied on her knowledge and skill throughout her life.

Together Connie and Chris raised three children:  Nancy Ann Caroprese (Jim), Chris Wills (Jennifer) and Kevin Wills.  They were blessed with seven grandchildren:  David Post (Ashley), Kelly Sheedy (Richard), Taylor Wills (Catie Fenton), Rachel Wills, Mason Wills, Jayden Wills and Deklan Wills.  They were also blessed with two great-granddaughters whom they loved dearly, Madison and Mackenzie Post.  Connie is also survived by her brother, Salvatore Burruano, and her sister-in-law Theresa Wills McClarin.  In addition to her mother, Connie was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Wills, brothers-in-law Thomas Wills and Robert McClarin; her sister-in-law Helen Burruano; her niece Carol McClarin Curran and her nephew Nick Burruano.  Her family meant the world to her as did the friends who accompanied her through life.  She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and life-long friends.

Connie along with her husband were members of St. Jane Frances de Chantal parish for over 55 years and spent many years volunteering at the parish, school and CYO as they raised their family.  Connie was active in volunteers at Notre Dame High School and participated in events for the Easton Catholic Alumni Association.  Her greatest passion and joy were spending times supporting and cheering on her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughters in their sports and activities as nothing made Connie prouder than watching each one grow and succeed.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the care and compassion they received during Connie’s recent illness from the staff at the Warren Campus of St. Luke’s Hospital.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishing donations be made in Connie’s memory to St. Jane’s School, c/o MaryBeth Okula/Principal and mailed to 19th & Washington Blvd, Easton PA 18042 or to the charity of one’s choice on behalf of Connie’s memory.
