Charlotte M. Schmitt

Charlotte M. Schmitt, 95, of Easton PA, formerly of Belleville, NJ, passed away on August 9, 2021, just a few hours shy of her 96th birthday, at Old Orchard Health Care.

Born on August 10, 1925, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Carmela Russo.

Charlotte loved her church, and was an active member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Twp., PA. She was a Volunteer at Easton Hospital for over 40 years and an active member of the Northampton Country Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Schmitt, who passed away in 2001, along with her siblings, Mary Russo, Dominic Russo and Louise Rovell.

She is survived by her siblings, Dolores Russo, Carmel DiPaolo, Ann Allman and Joanna Vigilante, along with many nieces and nephews.

A calling period will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Twp., PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Charlotte to the church.
