Charles Nelson Miller

Born on November 26th, 1939 in Riegelsville, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Elias C. Miller and Edna Sigafoos Miller. He was the youngest of 5 children.

He and his beloved wife, Marie, would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on June 25th. Nelson was a 1959 graduate of Phillipsburg High School where his longstanding track and field accomplishments earned him the nickname Flash. He was a member of the S.I.M. club in Alpha, New Jersey and a social member of the Alpha Fire House. After retiring from 42 years at Ingersoll-Rand, he enjoyed gardening, biking, fishing, and spending time with his family at his longtime home in Alpha, New Jersey.

He is survived by his wife Marie, his daughter Wanda and her husband Joseph Kutzman of Palmer Township, his son David and wife Michelle of Bethlehem, his son Nelson and wife Kelly of Williams Township, and his son Mark and wife Susan of Nazareth, and his grandchildren Amanda and Eric Miller. He is also survived by his brothers, Melvin (Dot), James (Lois), and his sister Geraldine Frace.

Nelson was preceded in death by his brother Richard and his wife Janet, and brother-in-law Francis Frace.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday May 14, 2019 from 10 am to 12 noon at The Finegan Funeral Home, 924 Second Ave., Alpha, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Mausoleum in Alpha.
