C. Louise Badway

C. Louise Badway, 88, of Alpha, NJ, passed away on July 21, 2021 at St. Luke’s Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born July 30, 1932, in Alpha, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Adam Sponder and Catherine Katarba Sponder. She was also predeceased by her husband, the late Ernest J. Badway, who passed in 2007.

Mrs. Badway and her husband owned and operated The Wardrobe, a women’s apparel shop in downtown Easton, for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton as well as St. Mary Catholic Church in Alpha, NJ. Enthusiastic at bingo and word search puzzles, her true enjoyment was caring for her grandchildren.

Survivors are her daughters; Debra Reda and husband Scott and Diane Dennis and husband Martin, grandchildren are; Adam, Joshua, Marc and wife Bridget, Elizabeth and Matthew. She is also survived by a brother, Roger Sponder, and was predeceased by a brother, the late Adam Sponder.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 55 S. 4th Street in Easton, PA, with the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 am at the church. The interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Palmer Twp., PA. The Finegan Funeral Home in Phillipsburg is handling arrangements.
