Born June 7, 1951, in Franklin, NJ, Brian was the son of the late Leo Forik and Elizabeth Hete Forik Horvath. He was also predeceased by his stepfather, Stephen "Pete" Horvath.
He was graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic High School, Class of 1969, University of Dayton, Class of 1973, and Rider College with a master's degree in 1979.
Brian was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Palmer Township, PA, was an exempt fireman with the Alpha Volunteer Fire Company in Alpha, NJ, and was an enthusiastic fan of the New York Giants and the Baltimore Orioles.
He worked as an educator for 34 years with the Bethlehem Township School District in Bethlehem Township, NJ. In retirement, he was a sports and trip bus driver for the Delaware Valley Regional School District.
Mr. Forik is survived by his wife, Dona K. Young Forik, and children; Kevin M. Forik and wife Jennifer, of Abington, PA, and Brynlee K. Forik, of Atlanta, Georgia, as well as two grandchildren, Charlotte and Rocco.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday afternoon from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, NJ, and on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 305 Delaware Road in Riegelsville, PA. The funeral service will then be held at the church at 11 a.m. The burial will be at the Riegelsville Cemetery.
