Bernard Frank Fey, Sr.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Clifford and Eleanor Mainhart Fey.
Bernie was the owner and president of Fey Fire Protection Inc., of Phillipsburg, NJ, for 30 years, was a 1962 graduate of Phillipsburg High School and attended the Allentown Center of Pennsylvania State University. He was a member of the Phillipsburg Area Jaycees, the Huntington, Safety First, Alpha and Citizens Hose Fire Houses, the Italian American Social Club and his beloved “Can Club”, with whom he shared many special times. Bernie was an avid Stateliner fan and could always be found in the stands cheering on his favorite Liner wrestlers and the Liner football team. He enjoyed spending time at his vacation homes located in The Villages, FL and at Brennan’s Bay on Lake Ontario, NY and loved fishing on his boat, “The Navigator”. Bernie took great pleasure in spending time with family, children and grandchildren, and especially loved watching them all play sports.
Bernie is survived by his wife, Cynthia M. Brower Fey, his children; Teresa Ann Fey and her longtime companion Brian Tharp, of Forks Township, Bernard F. Fey, Jr., and his wife Gina, of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Michael J. Fey and his wife Janean, of Bangor, PA, his grandchildren; Danielle, Tyler, Jenna, Abigail and Allyson Fey, his step-grandchildren, Justin and Jillian Mitman, his siblings; Donald Fey and his wife Janet, Charles Fey and his wife Joan, Thomas Fey and his wife Patricia and Diane Fey Viscomi, his sister-in-law, Marjorie Mainhart and his many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Bernie was predeceased by his brother Thomas (Tim) Mainhart.
Calling Hours are scheduled to be held on Thursday, August 29th, 2019, from 10 AM to 1 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St, Phillipsburg, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial is then set to follow at 2 PM, at St. Philip and St. James Church, 430 S Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ.
