Barbara C. Lukachek

Barbara C. (Kalnas) Lukachek , 93, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2021, at St. Luke's Anderson Campus.

Born on December 6, 1927, in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Fazekas Kalnas. She and her husband, Donald M. Lukachek, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on October 23rd, 2020.

Barbara graduated from Phillipsburg High School. She was of the Catholic Faith. She was employed by Magnetic Winding in Palmer Twp., and later drove school bus for the Easton Area School District for 15 years. She had artistic abilities painting ceramics and also loved crocheting lap afghan blankets, which she donated to wounded veterans. In all she had made and donated well over 100 afghan blankets to wounded veterans at various locations.
Later in life she added oil painting to her long list of artistic talents. After retirement, she and her husband Donald moved to Lakeland, FL, which they enjoyed for about 18 years.

Once a grandparent, she moved back to Nazareth, PA, to spend time and fully enjoy her son Michael, daughter-in-law Donna, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren.

In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by her son Michael and his wife Donna; grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren; a brother James of Warren Glen, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a sister Theresa, a brother Joseph, and another brother Sonny who died in early childhood.

At Barbara's request, there will be no public viewing or services. Any memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors in C/O Barbara Lukachek.
