Barbara A. Farmer

 Born on July 18, 1951 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Lance and Helen Bauer Lance.

She started her working career at the Housing Authority of Phillipsburg, and then went to work for Abbott’s Dairy, and finally working for IRCO Federal Community Credit Union as an assistant manager in the savings department for 39 years. She became a loan officer toward the end of her career. Barbara was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, where she was a twirler in the band. She was a candy striper at Warren Hospital, and she volunteered for Meals on Wheels.  Barbara enjoyed spending countless hours laughing the nights away with her best friends, otherwise known as the “card club”.

She is survived by her Mother, Helen of  Philliipsburg, N.J., her daughter, Rachael Farmer of Bath, Pa., her sister, Susan Lance of Phillipsburg, NJ, her nephew, Derek Lance and his wife Rachel of Easton, Pa., along with her great-nephew Vincent and great-niece Julia Lance. She is also survived by many cousins, family and friends.

Services are private and under the direction of the Finegan Funeral Home, Palmer Twp., Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Barbara to St. Luke’s Hospice House, 2455 Black River Rd., Bethlehem, Pa. 18015.
