Antoinette (Toni) M. Baker

Toni was born on April 2, 1931 in Plymouth, PA.  She was the youngest daughter of the late John Meza and Mary (Cintala) Meza.  She graduated from Nanticoke High School and soon began her career as an assistant at an Ophthalmologist’s office in town.  She also worked at Chico’s Pizza in Phillipsburg before starting a career she loved as an EKG Technician and Nurse’s Assistant at Warren Hospital.  Toni was known for being compassionate and caring to her patients.  She retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service.  She continued to volunteer at the hospital for several years following her retirement.  Toni attended Saint Phillip and Saint James Catholic Church.  

Toni devoted her life to being a loving, dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She is adored by her family, whom she lavished with love and kept laughing with her quick wit.  Toni also enjoyed dancing, playing Pinochle, baking, gardening, reading romance novels and spending time with her friends.  

She is survived by her children: Theresa Snyder and her husband Rickie of Sebastian Fl, Michael Baker and his wife Lori of Annandale NJ, Lori Srager of Easton, Pa and Annette Luancing and her husband Douglas of Vero Beach Fl.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jeremy Vernon, Billie Jo Cascioli, Rachael Ladd, Ryan LaValva, James Baker, Matthew Baker, Jaclyn McCormick, Briana Luancing, Cassandra Srager, Robert Baker, Braden Luancing, Brandon Gutierrez, Maggie Luancing, step granddaughter Amber Serfass as well as nine great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and one great great grandchild to be born soon.

 She is also survived by a sister, Louise Fox of Elkton, MD.  She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Edward T. Baker, beloved son-in-law, Scott Srager, and beloved sister Dorothy Iraki.

A Memorial Mass will be announced after the current restrictions have been lifted.   

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity of Toni’s, St. Judes
