Born on Aug. 30, 1927, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Antonio and Marie Caccese.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Fred worked for Ingersoll-Rand in the advertising dept. for many years, and later also worked for Alstom, Inc. He loved Phillipsburg football, basketball, enjoyed the Eddyside pool, walking, biking, and just being with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Carl Caccese, his sister, Marie Brower, along with his grandson, John Anthony. Fred is survived by his wife, Dolores Tiogo Caccese, his daughters, Jayne VanOsdol and her husband, John, of Forks Twp., PA, and Nancy Wagner and her husband, Kenneth of Easton, PA. He is also survived by his sisters, Loretta Adamitis of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Tina Phillips of Springfield, VA, along with his grandchildren, Thomas, James, and Julie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Oratory, 132 S. 5th St., Easton, PA. Interment will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Fred to the National Kidney Foundation, 1500 Walnut St. #301, Philadelphia, P 19102.
