Anna Confalone Macaulay

Anna was born on May 28, 1921 to the late Pasquale and Rose (Carrescia) Confalone in Roseto, Pa.  She was the loving wife of Donald K. Macaulay who passed away in 1992.  Anna was entombed at Holy Apostles Mausoleum at the Saint Philip and Saint James Church Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Anna was predeceased by four brothers Michael, Anthony, Nicholas and Domenic Confalone and two sisters Mamie Confalone Zito and Patricia Confalone Pritchard.  Anna is survived by her son Ronald, daughter-in-law Lorinda, grandchildren Laura Gagne (Albert), Nicholas, and Daniel(Tiffany), great-grandchildren Colin and Reese Macaulay, sister Lucy Confalone Policelli and brother Daniel Confalone.

A member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Parish, Anna was a faithful volunteer for the church.  For many years one could find her running the Saturday Night Bingo that supported church activities.  Anna worked as a seamstress at A & H Sportswear, Easton while making a warm and inviting home on Mercer Street.  She counted baking and sewing as her favorite pastimes.  Friends and neighbors were always welcome for some specially prepared Italian food and her front porch was the neighborhood gathering spot on many summer evenings.  Many fun times were spent in the company of her large family: whether celebrating milestones; eating traditional Italian fare at holiday festivities; or traveling on bus tours throughout the USA.

The Macaulay and Confalone families would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all of Anna’s neighbors and friends who provided support, love and encouragement.  You enriched her life and added much joy to her days.  We thank you.
