Angelo Micciulla Jr.

Angelo was born August 26, 1937, in Manhattan, NY. He was the son of the late Angelo and Antoinette Micciulla.

Prior to his retirement Angelo worked for Maersk Line, Inc. Angelo was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree for over 25 years. As a member of many bowling leagues he was an avid bowler; and enjoyed playing softball on the Renaissance softball team. He played golf yearly while living in Florida during the winter months. Nightly, he can be seen sitting on the couch wrapped in a Yankee blanket cheering on his favorite team. Angelo loved to travel and had the opportunity to realize his dream to travel to Italy, which is the homeland of his family.
Anyone who knew Angelo knows that he could be found in the kitchen baking the most amazing Italian cookies that could rival any bakery. He was known for his biscotti, sfogliatelle, pignoli's etc ... if there was a party we knew the cookie trays were there.

Angelo to some, Pop-Pop Angelo to most, will be missed greatly by his family and the community.
He was an extraordinary man who never lost his sense of humor, was strong and courageous and always made an impact on everyone who met him.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Viola (Sammy) Mattina, and a large family: four daughters, Geraldine Kohler, Marie D' Andrea, Angela Attanasio, Fran McKenna and two sons, Philip Mattina and William Mattina; a brother, William Micciulla; two sisters, Josephine Micciulla and Jean Downing; Pop-Pop- Angelo was a devoted grandfather to Amy Lynn, Stephen, and Keifer Kohler, Anthony and William McKenna, Joseph and Nicolas Mattina, Carmine Attanasio, Jennifer Harlan, Manuel Mattina, Ronald D'Andrea and great-grandchildren, Isabella and Oliver McKenna.
