Alice M. Pfeiffer
Alice M. Pfeiffer, 86, of Alpha, NJ passed away on March 23, 2021 in Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born December 6, 1934, in Little York, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George Schmauser and Floretta Rupell Schmauser.
She and her husband were the owners and operators of Pfeiffer’s General Store in Stewartsville, NJ. Alice served as a librarian and board member of the W.H. Walters Free Public Library in Alpha, NJ. She loved to cook and collect cookbooks. Alice was in the first graduating class for North Hunterdon High School.
Survivors are her husband, James Pfeiffer, and children: James L. Pfeiffer and partner Patti Sechrist, George T. Pfeiffer, Alicia M. Konolash and husband James, and Jason E. Pfeiffer, grandson, Todd A. Pfeiffer and fiancée Rebecca Boylan, and great granddaughter, Cora Lee Pfeiffer. She is also survived by a sister, Joyce Kornberger. In addition to her parents Alice was also predeceased by brothers Frank and Harry Schmauser.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 5-8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 12:00 noon. The interment will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
