Alexander S. Guffy Jr.

Born on September 19, 1929 in Allentown, Pa., he was the son of the late Alexander S. Guffy Sr. and Rose Mastria Guffy.

Alex was the Co-owner with his brother, William Guffy, of Nu-Quaker Dye, located in Wilson Borough, Pa. He enjoyed golfing at Green Pond Country Club, spending time with his family and going on vacation to OC Maryland.

In addition to his parents, Alex was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Henderson Guffy who passed away in 1995, along with his siblings; William, Lucy, Susan, Ann, Angelina and Rose Marie.

Alex is survived by his loving children; Alex Guffy, III and his wife Cindy of Palmer Twp., Pa., Robert Guffy and his wife Maria of Tatamy, Pa., Kathy Guffy and her companion Rob of Palmer Twp., Pa., and David Guffy and his wife Melinda of Allentown, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Guffy of Easton, Pa., along with his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christina, Jacquelyn, Lauren, Rachel and David. Additionally, Alex is survived by a Great-Grandson, Hayes.

Services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Alex to St. Luke's Hospice, 2455 Black River Rd., Bethlehem, Pa. 18015.

The Finegan Funeral Home, Palmer Twp., Pa., has been entrusted with his arrangements.
