Albert A. Smith

He was born at home on March 24th, 1947 to the late Arthur and Alice McCoy Smith. He was also pre-deceased in July of 2020 by his second mother and companion of 50+ years Gloria M. Rissmiller with whom he resided. He was also pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters.

Albert is survived by brothers Raymond Smith of Bethlehem PA, Charles Smith of Easton PA, Leroy Smith of Easton PA and sisters Patty Smith of Hackettstown NJ, Alice Smith of Bethlehem PA, and Debbie Hockenberry of Stewartsville NJ. His extended family brothers and sisters include Sharon and Jack Spencer of Easton PA, Brenda and Dan Christy of Stewartsville NJ, and Jerry and Sophie Stametz of Easton, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many other extended family members and friends.

Albert worked for the State of New Jersey Hunterdon Development Center in Clinton, NJ for 37 years and was a Supervisor in the Laundry Department before retiring. He also worked in various restaurants during his career.

Albert enjoyed gardening of all types, yard maintenance of any kind, swimming at the YMCA, and going to car shows with his nephew Danny every Tuesday night during the spring through fall seasons. He was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church Easton PA, a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Freemansburg PA Baseball Dart Team, and a former member of the B.P.O. Elks when it was located in Washington, NJ.

Due to the nature of the COVID pandemic and the severity of which it claimed the life of Albert, there will be no viewing nor any interment at this time. A memorial service will be held sometime in the spring to celebrate his life. Arrangements will be at the convenience of the family and by the Finegan Funeral Home, Wm Penn Hwy., Palmer Twp., PA. Burial will follow the memorial service at Raubsville Cemetery, Raubsville,PA.
